AldoSPyro Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Hey APC forum, I just got some 3" plastic canister shell casings and I'm hoping to make a few color and salute shells. I know a fair bit about traditional paper canister shell construction, but I have never tried using plastic. So far I havent found much information on how to prepare plastic can shells, and I was wondering if you guys had any helpful advice when it comes to plastic canister shell casings? (ie should I use slow flash to break them, should I spike them or paste wrap them, etc.) Thanks!-AldoSpyro
schroedinger Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 A small hint on these skylighter.com has a good tutorial on them. Also check if your TF hole is 10 or 6 mm. If it is 10 try to get some monetty PL10 fuse, it fits perfect. Also sealing around the glued end wit 1 turn of Al tape is good in the beginning (after the glue dried) and a pure saluts a thing that can save you a mortar.
