Blackthumb Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Have a way of making spherical (ball) BP. Drying and grading today for a test. Will flow much better and have less dust....don't think it will take fire as easily as crushed or granulated....we'll see! Its all about the experiment. Both powders made from Spruce and Black walnut charcoal...from planer shavings...
stix Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 (edited) If no-one experimented nothing would be gained. What sort of size are the spheres? Edited October 5, 2015 by stix
Mike Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 How you made it sperical? Rolling in a star roller or just adding 2% water/ipa to the ball mill?
stix Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 A liquid will naturally form a sphere in space. Dunno, I'm just saying.
gregh Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Unfortunately the round trip to zero gravity in outer space gets rather expensive....
Col Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 you dont need space, it just needs to be flying through the air, think of a spray bottle with bp slurry in it. The only issue is drying out the droplets before they hit the ground
Arthur Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 The "shot tower" that was used for producing fertiliser prills near Bristol England was over 100m high to get enough fall time to dry (the surface of) 3mm prills. I couldn't build that high in my garden.
