zan89 Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 Hi!Im offten asking my self how the weight and size of stars affecting on spread. Which goes further, and how affect puting stars in the shell. If for example you have two pettal and in both rings same size and weight stars, will really the outside go further?! Or if you have again th same size and the inside are heavyer, what will happen? What experience do you have with that? Zan
zan89 Posted August 30, 2015 Author Posted August 30, 2015 I was testing my 3" blue and magenta round shell.Blue stars went much further, they were the same cilindrical 8mm shape but the blue weight was 10% heaver. Those that 10% realy mean so much?!Blue was phiko and magenta veline. They where mixed betwen.
nater Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 (edited) Heavier stars or projectiles have more inertia and will usually travel further at a given velocity. However the velocity of the stars in a burst is not equal due to their position in the shell. The exact physics behind it is lost on me this late at night. If I recall, Shimizu had some insight on the this topic in F.A.S.T. Edited August 30, 2015 by nater
