lobowarxl Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Hello , I was just wondering if you can use a crackling fuse or a falling leaf fuse as a primary igniter to ignite the fireworks ( the first fuse you light that sets of your firework ) with out turning off? im mainly talking about cannonfuse.com or if you tried it or any other websites can you recommend it?
Sparx88 Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 (edited) I wouldn't use them for that for the only reason that you want something that burns steady and reliably. If your just lighting stuff like fountains or cakes then yes. But not for rockets and shells or salutes. edit; cannonfuse.com is good. I buy from them. Never have any problems with anything from them/he/she so far. They also have top quality tubes and paper shell sets. Edited August 29, 2015 by Sparx88
pyrojig Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Its funny you mention using this fuse ....I too tried this in my early building days , and have to agree with the above suggestion . It worked sometimes and timing was never at apex of flight . Use a quality time fuse , or ram your own spolettes .
Arthur Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 "Sparkly" fuse may spit sparks at your hand more than regular visco and the like. Visco is made for consistency of burn rate, but effect fuse may not be.
