Col Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Hi MikeI`ve received plenty of help and advice from the forum, so i`m happy to give some back. I`m old enough and ugly enough to remember pre-decimalisation but i still prefer metric for weights. Just convert the total batch weight from ounces into grams, multiply that number by 0.76 for perc, 0.23 for benz, 0.01 for cu.oxy and 0.025 for mineral oil.
dynomike1 Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 This test is my first attempt with Whistle. The tube is 9/16, 3/4" of whistle". The mix was 23, 0.01, 0.025.
fr3dopyrox Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 Hello, yes its old post but i have a question:You are making a clay with little hole in whistle serpent? Because im readind somewhere in neds PDF in whistle rocket we must not make clay nozzle or or will overpressured and explode !!! Thanks for your time !!!
OldMarine Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 The clay is between the whistle and report comp. The other end of the tube is open and fused there. I've found I don't need the clay bulkhead if I use flash for the report comp rather than my usual loose whistle. I've done this in tubes up to ½" ID and still got a good report. 1
