first thing that comes to my mind is thread wrapped extra strong thin wall lightwieght rocket tubes. Or salutes. Using something like Berkley fireline 20 lb fishing line.

Maybe interesting for a visco machine. Double the spools it can take and mount a 2nd bacm to back with a little bit adjustemend of the rotation speed.
