celluloid vs smokeless powder

I know they have different nitration, but how does celluloid guitar picks/ping pong balls actually react to being ignited under confinement? Could it actually push a bullet out of a gun?

I wouldn't expect so. If you wrap 'em in nc they produce a lot of smoke for a long time in a jar they extingtush. Pure nc doesn't do so.
