Mini shell to mortar size and lift charge

I'm in the process of making some mini shells,should my shells fit with a small amount of room to lanch. Or should the be a little friction in putting the shell in?.lit from the base like a cake. And the lift should be .8% of the shells whight in lift? Edited August 20, 2015 by ShannonM

For the lift you need to do some test. 7-12 % depending on the fit tube lenght and bp quality.

A tight fit is good for them, as long as you can easly push tne down the witout real force.

More lift than you think, and a reasonably firm fit -say a one hand push
