The woman who lost her son who had been drinking and shot the mortar off his head wants training for fireworks, not a bad idea but does that include shooting off fireworks when drunk?????????

drunk shoot class #666 avoiding death and dismemberment will be the primary objectives in this class.

I bet a lot of us have already been through that course Oldspark!

I try not to criticize people too much for doing stupid stuff... karma will get ya and i'm just as lucky to be alive as the next guy. It just takes a fraction of a second to do something that will get ya.

I have done more then my fair share of stupid stuff, and I totally agree with the timing getting you in some cases, so sad to see people get hurt or killed needlessly.

It's times like this I get real religious, God has a plan for all of us. :-)

We must all learn our lessons in different ways.

When the Thailand Monks hand lite dolas and toss them in the air, they are putting

their faith in their "god" that they will be protected at that moment.

From watching a few of the video's where things went bad, they must have been lacking faith at that moment.

The truth is we are trying to be so safe growing up we don't have the chance to learn lesson's while we are

young anymore. Kids don't have the opportunity to play with chemistry, mechanics, fire, power tools, etc. etc.

Most kids have grown up playing with computers and migrating onto a cell phone, with little time to learn

practical skills needed to survive in our eroding societies.

You can warn a baby that an object is hot a hundred times, but until the baby actually gets burned on something hot

they will not appreciate the meaning of "hot".

You can't stop people from doing stupid things. You can't ban things either. People want a boom, and they're going to find out a way to get it. I think that having to take an online quiz to get the license to buy fireworks is a good idea.

I think they should show pictures of things that happen to people when they hold fireworks in their hands and do stupid things.

Oblivion,

A person allowed to purchase fireworks should be required to hold a lady finger firecracker between their fingers and let it go off.

Maybe, just maybe they would think about holding large fireworks in their hands and lighting the fuse.

I don't disagree. Back in high school I can remember my friends holding air bombs (1.5g salutes that shoot out of tubes that you are supposed to stick into the ground.) Like seriously that is all kinds of stupid. They throw m80s left and right too. Of course that's the issue with this world today. You can't cure stupid and people are trying to make sure stupid people can't do stupid things. Which through unselective breeding is just going to make an even more stupid world in the future.

Reminds me of the time I put my hand on the glass of my fireplace when I was about five. Never did touch the glass on fireplaces ever again.

Most people under 25 that I have seen are stuck to their cell phones, no idea who they might be texting because I know if I want to be stuck to my phone all the time, I can't because I got barely any friends who will respond back. Thing is, I seen many young children practically raised by cell phones (parents don't have time to raise their kid, so they play kid programs on their ipad so they can go off and do their adult stuff)

They're not your friends if they don't respond back. Are you just too focused on pyro to make friends?
