Enjoy ! Will it be all electric or will you get to hand-fire some as well ?

I believe it is going to be completley hand fired, but I may be wrong. The finale would probably be electric. It is going to cost quite a bit on gas. It's 340 miles each way. The company has set off up 10" shells, but I think this show will mainly be 4" with 6"ers in the finale. I will report when things actually happen.

My brother and I will be doing the 5th annual RanchBlast at our place on June 23rd. This is gonna be a doozy, as it is likely our last. We also worked the local minor league baseball team shoots. For three years we shot the Schaumburg Flyers AA baseball team.

This is not purely pyro, but I'll be doing my invitational technology shoot this spring. I bring out all my old electronics and pummel them with ammunition. Great fun! Rows of old CD's, a few dangling mice. The finale event for this year will involve buckshot and a Windows-98 machine. No vehicles this year; I find them too much of a mess to clean up afterwards. Perhaps I'm getting old. Yes, I do live on a farm. Nothing spells "redneck" like a shot-up old car. The wife  isn't really pleased though. Perhaps it's because I still owe seven more payments........

That reminds me of the shoots my buddies and I do on occasion. We assist old hardware from our work in 'shuffling off the mortal coil' every now and then...

Nothing says "goodbye and good riddance" like a tank of MAPP + O2 inside a sealed external equipment enclosure smacked with a .50BMG APIT...unless you count liberal doses of homemade binary "door-knockers" tapped with 5.56 FMJ

Here we tested the stalwartness of a commercial steel door:

It was found lacking moral fiber...

(mods: if this is deemed inappropriate, please let me know and I will edit)

Fun with chemistry!

Very nice! Perhaps I should spice up my shoot with some "interactive" components, perhaps at random. Place a tannerite-type component inside a computer case, and wait for a .223 round to "find" it :D .

Be very careful putting reactive targets *inside* metal enclosures; you may find part of the item being accelerated toward you. Instead, the target should be placed on the outside, and your backstop should be able to deal with the resulting debris.

Point taken. Reactive target taped to hard structure, with paper target overlayed in front of it does seem a better plan, thanks.

With the weather turning warm(er) here I think the technology shoot is soon to come :D . Revenge on the machines! The damned computer can beat me at chess, but lets see if if can hold-up to a .45ACP infection.
