gregh Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Can you clarify what you are asking or refering?

pyroman2498 Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 I think he is talking about strobe , the frequency ( how man times ) it strobes ? Stay Safe and Stay Green ~Steven
MrB Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 I have a feeling this is mostly a robot translation, and that is, as usual a crappy translation.I'm just guessing here, but i think he's Russian? Perhaps someone who can help him, at least to get a proper translation out. I cant even make sense of the formula he posted...(Which however might be more a lack of experience with strobes on my part, then anything else. Does anyone recognize the formula?) B!

skid68 Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Changing the mesh size of the magnalium will change the strobe rate, or frequency. The bigger the flakes, the slower the strobe.
MrB Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 I am ChineseThan finding someone who can read write Russian wont do much good. :- )I hope you weren't insulted, that wasn't my intent.B!
gregh Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Changing the CuO amount will also affect the strobe rate. I am not familiar with that particular formula so I cannot say what it's rate may be. Shimizu's AP strobes are the only ones I have commonly seen a frequency published for.

Titanium Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Stibiums Strobe formula works also nice to make a red Strobe(http://www.amateurpyro.com/forums/topic/3886-red-nitrate-strobes/page-3), I interchanged NC for Dextrin and it also works nice

asdercks Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Do you mean german dark? No, I mean antimony trisulfide -325 mesh some people calls it dark pyro
asdercks Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Difficult to ignite, how to ignite? try this prime (monocapa prime) Kclo4 24.6kno3 31.1charcoal, airfloat sofwood (willow, poplar, paulownia) 11.5red gum 4.1sulfur 4.9iron oxide (black or red) 7.4magnalium -230 mesh (or dark aluminum) 12.3dextrin 4.1
clarkie752 Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 would this strobe work with 325 mesh magnalium??
asdercks Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 best way to find out would be to make a small test batch and light it
