Hey fellas.. can anyone point me to a place to get a 40 and 60 mesh screen for screening comps and chems? I usually get my screens at skylighter but they have been out of stock for awhile. Thanks!

There are a couple of different places. All of mine have come from McMaster-Carr. Granted these will be just the raw screen material, they still need to be assembled into functional items. There are other suppliers for the same items and you may be able to find a better price if you shop around.

If you were looking for something pre-assembled, you may want to try bucketscreen.com

One other place you might check out and that would b e-Bay for stainless steel screens..............Pat

I would have to check, but I may have an extra set of both of those screens lying around. If I've got them I'd be happy to sell em to you

Lol... I just finished putting on polyethylene coating and tomorrow I'll be putting the screen. I got mine from McMaster Carr. There super fast in Delievery. I got a 40 mesh 12x24 for $20. I laugh because we were talking about this the other night.

Did you even read the first post of the thread? He's aware of that source, and that would be his first option if they were in stock ever.

Mcmaster Carr is the route I took. Thanks Mumbles. They have every option under the sun. And for what it's worth, it's great quality screen for a great price, and the shipping was lightning fast. I ordered it and it was at my house 48 hrs later. I only gave 20 bucks per 12x24 screen, and it's stainless. That's hard to beat.

I apologize if I hurt your feelings. If you read the thread, you will notice that he was in fact already aware of the source you mentioned saying he generally gets them there. It also becomes more clear that he was looking for pre-framed screens. If you go to Skylighter you will notice that at least one of them (40 mesh) is currently and actively out of stock.

Hey maybe check out skylighter (I'll let myself out)

Brad, McMaster is sick, if you can id recommend recessing the screen like 6 inches into the box, I seriously wish I had on all mine.

Who has the problem with people skills?

Oh, and if you plan on using the screens much a 12"x24" is nice to have. You can that size from places like McMaster and Grainger for less than the 12"x12" at Skylighter even on sale.

I like Harry and glad he provides the service that Skylighter does but their prices can be a bit high.

No prob Tyrone! I do recommend Mcmaster-Carr to anyone needing screens. It's the fastest shipping I have ever seen... and the options are literally limitless.. as I said before. I did recess my screens about 3" into the frame, and I got 12x24".

Off topic as to where to spend your money, but I found this vid which was informative for me. This guy has some other vids that may be of use to us.
