schroedinger Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 HiAll strobe tutorials i read about use AP based strobe formulas, but i was wondering if they work the same with nitrate based strobes like blesser white?
Mumbles Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 They do not. Nitrate strobes are not regular enough to yield the same effect.
dagabu Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 I agree with mumbles, for a regular and consistent strobing effect as well as the loud popping sound, you will need an AP strobe.
ddewees Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Why too bad? AP works great... one of my favorite oxidizers.
MrB Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Why too bad? AP works great... one of my favorite oxidizers.Availability for one. Cant get any here.B!
ddewees Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 I thought about that afterwards... wasn't sure where "Mr. Typo" was from.
a_bab Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 "Nitrate strobes" are in fact a glitter-type of reaction. This means lots of dross. No way it will work the same in a rocket, but some people made glitter rockets already.
schroedinger Posted December 16, 2014 Author Posted December 16, 2014 Well glitter rockets aren't that hard to make even with normal comps, but the real interesting thing i was after is of course the helicopter sound type one.The problem with AP is not that i can't get it, its more a price and law thing.
Col Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 A 1lb rocket will take around 30g of AP, so when you break it down its not that expensive.
