Bobosan Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 I'm getting a "plugin needed" error when trying to view some videos. The video file extension giving me problems is .avi . All the other video formats allowed in the gallery seem to work ok. I can view .avi's on Youtube and elsewhere on the net just fine so I feel certain it's not browser related.
Mumbles Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 Is it all .avi files, or just specific ones? Also, would you might giving a link or two to some offending ones.
Bobosan Posted October 12, 2014 Author Posted October 12, 2014 (edited) Yeah, was going to send a screenshot along with first message but forum doesn't like .jpg's either. It is in user "DragonsKing" gallery titled "end burner BP rocket launch" dated May 1st, 2010 Edited October 12, 2014 by Bobosan
TheSidewinder Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 I'm getting the same. Not sure what plugin is needed to play them. AVI is an allowed file extension, or it would not have accepted the upload in the first place. If you copy the URL to the video, then open a new tab (while still logged in) and paste the URL in the new tab, it will play. In my case, it opened Windows Media Player to do so, rather than in the browser.
Bobosan Posted November 16, 2014 Author Posted November 16, 2014 Since we can play in a new tab, it may be something in the forum software? Really strange.
