VikingPyrotechnics Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Ok guys, here is my attempt on that cap plug rockets, that TR gets out so perfectly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIIeOtk2TH8 You see the point in the ring, where I have tissue paper stuffed between the cap plugs. (I had a small gap between them) with the timing I am quite satisfied, considering that I have all cut by hand
Bobosan Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 First and second ring were very close. Was that intentional? Great rocket VP.
VikingPyrotechnics Posted September 2, 2014 Author Posted September 2, 2014 Yepp.... First ring after 1,5 seconds and the second ring after 2 seconds :-) Worked pretty good i think .........
MrB Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Looked like you had a weak spot in the casing, 1 of the caps, in both of the rings, was thrown further then the rest.Other then that, real pretty, and the timing was spot on.B!
dagabu Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Great job on the rings, next time use a bit of silicone oil on the last cap plug (where you put the tissue) and squeeze it in the gap. It WILL fit! TR will tell you the same thing, if you use a filler you will get a hole.
a_bab Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 What Ti mesh did you use? I guess it's sponge ?
VikingPyrotechnics Posted September 3, 2014 Author Posted September 3, 2014 I will keep this in mind ! :-)Great job on the rings, next time use a bit of silicone oil on the last cap plug (where you put the tissue) and squeeze it in the gap. It WILL fit! TR will tell you the same thing, if you use a filler you will get a hole. And thank you guys for the kind words :-)
